Glenn has been around automobiles since he was 2 years old. His parents, Al and Laura Evans owned and operated the Supertest gas station and garage from 1961 to the late 70’s at the location where M & R Auto Body at Manchester is currently situated. His father was an auto mechanic and Glenn worked with him at the garage when he was growing up when he wasn’t going to school. Glenn started working at age 15 at Jiffy Auto Glass in Richmond Hill learning to install windshields and also doing custom upholstery. At the same time, he worked on rebuilding a Chevy II in the garage at his parent’s home in Manchester and also did odd jobs for friends. In 1981 he decided to open Port Perry Auto Glass & Trim in Port Perry which is still going strong. Since then, together with his wife Kelly, he has opened South Scugog Auto Sales Limited, Practicar Car and Truck Rental Ltd. and Port Perry Sign Shop Ltd. Glenn has been in the car sales business since 1994 and is a registered OMVIC salesperson in the business also.
